Ta Da!

All done! Finished the stitching yesterday and started cutting. Completed the cutting today. So excited, didn't even wash and iron before posting!

Ugggh!

This was stitched - WAS.

I had to totally unstitch my greek crosses because, get this, I wove the thread at the beginning and end into the front - FRONT - and stitched in the back - BACK !

So this is the result of 1/2 hour of work.

Hi Mom! So glad you found my 'blob' after having lost it ...... !

This is what we did around Christmas time. It's actually quite nice to sit out on a winter night (providing it's not too windy). Notice the beer in the snowbank? Ahhhh, what more can a Canadian Man ask for?

I have a few containers. I like the glass one, it's nice to see all the colours!

The basket is handy because I can put a magnet on it to store the extra needles for my project. Plus the red looks so cheery with the yellow!

This post is for my mother who is thinking of buying this but wanted help in converting the fabric. It is listed as stitched on 40 count which would be too difficult to see. So, as a good daughter who happens to excel at math (!), here are your conversions (all stitched over two threads):
36 count: 18.3" x 8.3"
32 count: 20.6" x 9.4"
30 count: 22" x 10"

These numbers are rounded, so err on the larger size.

Progress!

Moving, slowly, but moving along!

The Hardanger is nearly there. I've completed 3 of the 4 sections with doves eyes. Then the adjoining wrap and voila!

The miner is slower, but progressing.

Question????? I've ordered Q-Snaps (due to arrive any day!). It is recommended that they be removed when not working on the project - but do they REALLY need to be removed (especially if not covering any of the stitching area? I've only ever used scroll frames and hoop frames.....which are a bit time consuming. Hoping that Q-Snaps are easier.

Please let me know what you do with your Q-Snaps. Thanks!
